History Florida Metal Craft is rich in Winter Garden history dating
back to 1931 when L.W. Iserman purchased a blacksmith shop from the Corbets
servicing the needs of farming and transport industries opening under the name
Iserman & Company on Dillard Street that was then a dirt road. In the
1940's Iserman & Company was a vital servicer to the Co-op that built the
first of its kind concentrated frozen juice plant. In 1955 after the paving of Dillard Street Iserman built a larger metal
shop across the street. A few years later his son in law Louis Burnett
inherited the shop from Iserman and renamed it Florida Metal Craft.Seizing the
opportunity of the still booming citrus industry much of the work was still
catered to repair and maintenance of farm and factory equipment. In the late 1970's Florida Metal Craft was inherited by Louis's sons
Robert and Thomas Burnett whom a decade later experienced the freezes that
crippled the citrus industry yet found opportunity in the growth of central
Florida's entertainment sector. Today the customers
and industries serviced by Florida Metal Craft is wider than it has ever been.
From the large scale pirate ship for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that sits in the
endzone of the stadium to the cracked lawn mower deck in need of repair, we
strive to service a variety of metal needs for our neighbors.
